Power Intervals

Build power. Boost endurance.

Looking to get stronger on the bike? Interval training is one of the best ways to improve your fitness, increase your power output, and make every ride more effective.

This week's Workout of the Week combines hard efforts with recovery periods to help you ride stronger for longer.

The Workout

  • Warm-up: 10 minutes of easy spinning.
  • Main Set: 6 × 2-minute hard efforts (8/10 intensity).
  • Recover with 2 minutes of easy riding between each interval.
  • Cool-down: 10 minutes of easy spinning.

Focus On

  • Holding a consistent effort for every interval.
  • Maintaining a smooth cadence throughout.
  • Recovering fully between efforts so you can give your best on the next interval.

Why It Works

Power intervals improve cardiovascular fitness, increase muscular endurance, and help you produce more power on the bike. Whether you're training for sportives, commuting faster, or simply building fitness, this session is an effective way to level up your riding.

Ride hard, recover well, and finish every interval strong.
