A good pair of lifting shoes offer stability and comfort to support your technique.

Finding the right shoes for you can give you the confidence to commit to your lifts, helping you to push harder in search of PBs.

They’re a valuable part of anyone’s kit bag, but getting the perfect pair can be tricky.

To help kick off your search, here are six of the best weightlifting shoes available in 2021.

Nobull Lifter

The Nobull Lifters aren’t cheap at £280 a pair, but the handmade durable design could last you many years. It comes with a leather heel in a nod to traditional lifting shoes, and a single secure strap. The toe box can be narrow if you have wide feet, but it’s a shoe built for Olympic lifting.

Nike Metcon 7

The Metcon 7s are one of the more stylish shoes on the list, coming in a variety of different colourways. Nike have added their soft React Foam to the sole making this a versatile trainer that can be used for cardio too.

Reebok Legacy Lifter 2

This shoe features a textile upper to give it extra breathability as well as a very supportive TPU heel clip. A lot of reviewers comment on the comfort and stability, and they’re not a bad looking shoe either.

Nike Savaleos

The Nike Savaleos offers a wide sole that makes for good stability on heavy lifts. It’s another single strap shoe so it’s easy to quickly adjust the tightness, but it can fit a little small to size. It’s a very lightweight option with a fairly minimalist design.

Under Armour TriBase™ Reign 3 NM Training Shoes

Under Armour tend to produce good looking shoes and this is no exception. The mesh upper also provides good mobility and an external heel plate adds to the stability. Another good all-rounder for your kit bag.

Adidas Adipower Weightlifting 2

The Adipower 2 is a popular shoe among weightlifters for good reason. A woven upper makes it agile and lightweight, but inner reinforcements give it stability and durability. The 20mm heel height makes it effective for squats, but it’s a versatile shoe that can be used throughout the gym.
