The Titan Games have become an extremely popular TV show on both sides of the Atlantic since its UK release at the beginning of June.

It’s an intense sort of entertainment that has got a lot fo people talking on social media channels.

Here, Built for Athletes takes a look at what is The Titan Games?

A Reality TV Show Built Around Athleticism

Similar to Superstars or Ninja Warrior, The Titan Games is a reality show which pits contestants from normal walks of life up against each other in extreme tests of physical ability.

The unique element is that contestants can be of any age and fitness level, so an elderly woman could be competing against an in-shape 25-year-old.

It’s presented by Dwayne Johnson, who came up with the premise for the show, with The Rock saying in the trailer: “I wanted to create the most epic and insane athletic competition ever devised. Every challenge the competitors will face is inspired by the workouts that have fuelled me, the struggles I’ve experienced and the disciplines I believe in.”

The winner of the competition receives $100,000.

How To Watch

All nine episodes of Season One are available to watch on Netflix, with a second series having aired in the US already.
